My Unit

My unit will focus on young children using language arts skills to develop reading fluency; using dramatics to improve oral language development and boost confidence; Making positive choices through character analysis and realizing that actions have consequences.

EQ: What choices should you make to stay safe?

UQ: How can you make responsible choices?

CQ: How does reading and learning about Goldilocks' choices make you aware of your own personal safety choices?

  1. I think this is a great way to get children to think about their choices while improving ELA skills!

  2. I like what you have wriiten for the EQ. I think the UQ needs to be written as a question rather than a statement. What you have is what you want the student to accomplish. The CQ is good. It is very specific and in line with the content of the lessons.

  4. Your planned unit idea seems to be appropriate for your grade level. I am not sure what Jennifer was referring to for your unit question, but it seems fine. I do think that your essential question might be made a little less specific by asking "What should I choose?" or "Should I play it safe?" Overall, this should give you and your student much to talk about.
